Medicine Crafts Collective - Ancestral Apothecary (Remaining Classes)
Medicine Crafts Collective: Ancestral Apothecary - Level 1 Home Herbalist
In-Person | Houston, TX
Your herbal journey continues. These sessions of the Medicine Crafts Collective beginner cohort take you deeper into plant medicine, from designing your own scents to brewing healing teas and crafting tinctures.
Class 2: Scent & Science (Makeup Session - Tuesday, April 21 | 4-6 PM)
Design your own signature scent using essential oils rooted in ancestral healing traditions. You will learn top, middle, and base note theory, study five medicinal herbs (lavender, lemon balm, peppermint, ginger, and clove), and create two handmade products: a perfume salve and a botanical oil infusion.
Class 3: The Medicine in the Cup (Tuesday, April 21 | 6-8 PM)
Learn the art of herbal tea preparation through three traditional methods: infusion, decoction, and golden milk. You will study three new medicinal herbs (hawthorn, turmeric, and calendula), explore their research-backed healing properties, and make your own custom herbal tea blend and turmeric golden milk from scratch. You will also get an introduction to PubMed so you can find peer-reviewed research on your own.
Class 4: Tincture Making & Certificate Ceremony (Tuesday, April 28 | 6-8 PM)
In your final session, you will learn the foundations of tincture making, dive into your last set of medicinal herbs, and create a tincture to take home. The evening closes with your Level 1 Home Herbalist Foundations Certificate ceremony, recognizing 8 hours of hands-on ancestral apothecary training.
All supplies and materials are included. No experience necessary.
